Emerald Oak started in a Dublin shed in 2010 when founder Liam O'Sullivan redrafted a grandmother's sideboard into a fitted kitchen for his own home. What began as weekend projects for neighbours grew into a small workshop that built its reputation on clean lines, sturdy joinery, and on-site finishing that withstood Irish weather. Liam teamed up with his partner Maeve, a designer with an eye for space and light, and together they trained apprentices from local trade schools, passing on Irish woodworking traditions. They kept the craft practical: sizes measured to fit Irish homes, timber sourced from sustainable Irish mills, and finishes chosen for ease of maintenance. Today Emerald Oak serves Dublin, Cork, and surrounding counties, delivering projects that are as durable as they are beautiful, with the same friendly approach that started in that tiny shed.

We combine skilled handcraft with modern equipment to build durable furniture, fitted kitchens, staircase carpentry, and bespoke storage. From initial sketches to final finish, we manage every step on site in Dublin, Cork, and surrounding counties.
